ARCHIVE works to implement real change in the world through outreach activities and housing construction in impoverished communities to prevent the spread of deadly diseases.

ARCHIVE Global strives to improve the living conditions and create healthier communities through innovative architectural /environmental design in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. Using one basic right – housing, to deliver one basic need - health.

Our vision is achieved through a threefold approach:

  • Providing households with the information and resources they need to be able to take simple measures to reduce health risks in their home. This includes directly providing information and training to community members and enabling service providers and third sector organizations to provide such resources.
  • Influencing decision makers at all levels to ensure that sufficient regulation and support exists to protect people from the risks associated with sub-standard housing. Central to this is our desire to see housing as a key pillar of local, national and international public health strategies.
  • Facilitating practical improvements to homes including renovation of existing housing, the provision of existing products and contributing to the design of new affordable products.

Role

ARCHIVE Global seeks an experienced senior executive for the position of Operations Director. Reporting to the Founder/Executive Director, the Operations Director serves as a key adviser to the Executive Director and provides long-term strategy to implement and scale the organizations strategic growth.

The Operations Director identifies internal opportunities and challenges, coordinates across individual projects and teams, and overseas various operational aspects of the organization including: Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and Development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the organization’s operational functions to fulfill program needs, optimize best practices, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage the financial resources of the organization to ensure accountability and sustainability.
  • Support the Executive Director in implementing strategic decisions that impact the organization, including sound risk management.
  • Strong accountability and ability to engage and manage a talented team while effectively cascading tasks to team members.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Non-Profit management, including experience managing Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and Development. At least 8 years’ experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven record of leadership and decision making in financial functions, including financial management, budgeting, and business strategy
  • 5+ years international work experience
  • Proven record of organizational finance operations
  • Proven record of responsible risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex organizational data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences
  • Experience managing a team spread across multiple international project sites
  • Ability to prioritize and focus effectively across a wide range of responsibilities
  • Comfort and ease working in a fast-paced environment, managing a large volume of requests
  • Exceptional leadership ability matched only by your technical expertise
  • Experience working in international and multicultural organizations
  • Ability to cooperate easily and readily with colleagues

DESIRABLE:

  • Advanced degree in related field - Business, Law, Finance, Nonprofit Management
  • Certifications in related field - Finance, HR, Nonprofit Management
